A Mindful Moment
Let’s have a mindful moment. Really look at this picture.
Notice the details, try to memorize what you see. Then close your eyes and place yourself in the scene. Feel the ocean breeze against your face. Is it a cool breeze or a warm, tropical one? Feel the way the sand shifts beneath your feet. Are you barefoot, or are you wearing shoes? Is the sand wet and firm or dry and soft? Smell the sea air. Is it crisp and fresh or briny and heavy? Listen to the waves crashing. Are they booming against the rocks or gently lapping on the shore?
Now that you’re really there, look up to the light above the horizon. See the stars and sparks of light slowly floating out of the center of the light, across the water and over towards you. Take in the wonder of this moment, and let the light comfort you and fill you with awe. You begin to feel warm and held as you look at this light, and out of the center you hear a beautiful voice whisper kindly to you...
Now bring yourself gently back to this present moment. What did the voice whisper to you? That is your mantra for today!
